Sourcing Linux
An article from InformationWeek magazine. The SCO lawsuit against the world that uses Linux continues. IBM, the main target currently, is digging its heels in, and digging into its pocket to fight the suit. But, the suit does raise interesting questions. Regardless of the validity of SCO's claims, questions around the process for accepting code into the Linux fold abounds. Who's to say that the code supplied by developers, as noble as their motives may be, may not infringe on someone's patent?
