A9.com

A9.com was recently launched by Amazon.com -- it's another search engine in the already crowded space of search engines. A9.com however is taking a page out of its parent company's book, and is aiming to be the place to connect people looking for stuff with the people who got the stuff -- any stuff -- not just the stuff on Amazon.com. The site already has the capability of searching the full text of thousands of books in Amazon.com's catalogue. The site keeps track of your search history for you -- allowing you to manage and track your searches -- of the web sites you've visited, and the books you've searched. A cool diary feature even allows you to annotate notes for yourself of your search results. After you've used A9.com long enough, try the Discover feature -- it will suggest web sites for you based on your past searches and visits, correlating the results with like searches from other users -- just like Amazon.com does when it recommends books. Cool!
