America Saves the World
Again. You know, if it wasn't for the Americans going at it alone, organizing their own "coalition of the willing," we'd all be so fucked up right now. Thank god for America! Thank god for Bush! Thank god the US keeps giving the finger to the UN and saving the day, because those fucks in the UN couldn't tell which way their asses were pointing. Yes folks, that's sarcasm, but I had to get it out of my system. It appears some quacks have gotten an idea into their thick skull and it won't come out. They firmly believe that the UN is jealous of the successful efforts of the US and Australia, and want to take credit from them for saving those poor, starving, dying tsunami victims. Hmm ... let me see here. People need help, so why don't we try one-upmanship. Face it you stupid fucks, the world has responded -- is responding. It's not about America. It's about people with real lives. It's about real people dying. This isn't a fucking video game -- not a contest. There are children out there with no mommies and daddies anymore. There are parents out there that have to live with the fact that they've outlived their children. They don't need squabbles. They do not need money pouring in uncontrolled and unorganized. The biggest fear now that the world has responded should be ensuring the coordination of efforts to deliver aid to where it is needed, when it is needed, and ensuring none is wasted. The last thing we need is several groups in charge. The UN has the de facto role of running around the world, coordinating resources to help those less fortunate. The American government doesn't. We already know the US has no tolerance for the UN. After all, the UN only represents the world, international law and the place where all nations are equal. But couldn't we put that behind us for a little while so that lives can be saved?
Apparently not.
It's nice that America has responded. And really, thank god they have, because their generosity will make a big difference. But people -- Americans who're ranting about the UN -- show class. Show grace that is becoming of your charity. Be modest with your gift.
