Samsung Leaks Plugged
What's the world coming to when news that makes it into the public domain can get squashed by fear of a lawsuits or two. A few days ago, Mobile Review picked up some slides of three new Samsung phones that will be hitting the market soon. Soon afterwards, the images were pulled from the site because of 'possible legal reasons.' Well, Samsung, your secret is already out -- and it's no big secret. You're about to release the phones in 2005 anyway -- think of this as advance marketing for your expensive crap.
The Samsung Thor -- runs MS Windows Mobile Magneto on a 3GB HD. It features 262K colour screen at 240x320 resolution. It can play back digital movies and music, and is equipped with a 1Megapixel camera. It has both
USB and Bluetooth interfaces, and does all the cell protocols out there.
The Samsung Javelin -- runs MS Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003 2nd Edition using a 500MHz processor. It plays movies, has a 1 Megapixel camera on board, with a 65K colours, 176x220 screen. It has the Bluetooth interface and does the usual cell protocols.
The Samsung B-Bop -- runs MS Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003 using a 400MHz processor, with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM. It has a 262K colours, 240x320 touch screen. It does videos, MP3s and comes with a 2 Megapixel camera. As an added bonus, the phone will also allow you to view doc, xls, ppt and pdf files. Oh, and it does the cell phone thing too.
