Hubble's Ultra Deep Field
Hubble has taken its furthest view into the universe yet, and has released the Hubble Ultra Deep Field image. The image, taken in the course of 400 orbits around the Earth, is of a patch of the sky equivalent to a pin head being viewed from arm's length. The image contains about 10,000 galaxies -- basically, every point of light you see in the images is a galaxy. To complete a full sky survey at this depth, would require Hubble to constantly be observing for the next 1 million years. Check out this cool flash animation that helps you navigate the Hubble image, or here for a smaller HUDF image.
