Implementation Imperative

Those that pretend they have project management in their arsenal may want to read this -- it will help with the BSing -- so you don't have to wonder why these basic project management lessons are so often repeated. This article speaks to implementing large supply chain projects from an IT perspective. It assumes the IT project manager is in charge and has all the deliverables. The big lessons of this article -- understand the business, understand the business strategically and how your project fits into the bigger picture -- understand the business requirements -- make sure your client understand their big picture -- keep customization to a minimum -- test -- do some benchmarking.
